Adventures in Rivera Maya
After a crazy, busy fall and winter season it was finally time to for us to sneak away for a much needed vacation. After getting up at 2:45 a.m. (that's right, A.M.) we headed to our best friend's house in Minneapolis and started our fun getaway! We were so exicted to start our 8 days in Playa Del Carmen - no shoots, no going into the office and most imporantly, no timelines!
We stayed in beautiful condo at Aldae Thai, thanks to our bestie for finding it! We had a pool to play in and a pool on our rooftop to relax in! It was perfect! We mostly relaxed on the beach, but also did a few excursions. We went to Xplor Park and had a blast. We spent all day zip lining, swimming in cenotes (underground caves), and drove amphibious vehicles through the forest. The other excursion we did was also amazing. We had a private tour guide take us snorkeling to see huge, 5-foot long turtles and then went to see the Tulum ruins - where we ran into a lot of iguanas. We definitely laughed a lot on this trip, recharged and relaxed!!
